| In establishing Comtxt we recognised the need to appoint a strong Board of Directors with legal, accounting expertise along with proven business acumen being fundamental requirements.

Brian Hawker, Chief Executive Officer of Comtxt has a broad business background with particular strengths in the areas of sales, marketing, contractual law, negotiation and planning/organisation. Brian previously spent 18 years in several senior management roles both in New Zealand and Asia with the Mars Corporation, predominantly in sales and marketing.

John Unsworth, Board Chairman and Legal Director graduated from Canterbury University in 1984 with a law degree. Now the senior litigation partner at Horsley Christie, John specialises in civil, contract, commercial, insurance, employment and family litigation and is also the vice president of the Wanganui District Law Society, chairman of the Wanganui Council and a national councillor of the NZ Automobile Association.

Matthew Doyle, Finance Director graduated from Canterbury University in 1992 with his accountancy degree and forming his own practice, with offices in both Wanganui and Palmerston North. His practice, Doyle & Associates specialises in working with larger commercial businesses, companies and trusts. Matthew also holds various directorships in both private and local companies.

Michael Eden founded GDM Group a specialist manufacturer and exporter of retail systems in 1978. The Group of NZ and Australian Companies remain privately-owned and Michael leads a management team and staff of 60 at its Wanganui Head office and factory supported by sales offices in Auckland and Sydney. Michael has also set up and operates a large joint venture manufacturing plant in China. Michael is a long term executive member of the NZ Retail Interiors Association and is a Director of several local companies.

Also forming an integral part of the management of Comtxt Holdings are two if its founders and non-executive directors.

Kerry has been involved with the internet and related technologies for 21 years, while being employed in the IT industry for at least 16 of those years. Kerry’s most recent role was as lead developer for a local internet firm, before starting Lateral Solutions in May 2006 with partner Jason King. Kerry has an extensive knowledge of database structure implementation, and software and programming languages, while also being a quick learner and adopter of leading edge technologies.

Jason started his own internet development company not long after leaving school at the age of 17. Soon after that, his company was merged with another successful Wanganui internet firm. During this period Jason was also the recipient of the 2001 Wanganui Rotary Young Achiever of the Year award. Since then he has been involved in developing internet technologies, and managing software development projects. In May of 2006, he and current business partner Kerry Emerson, started Lateral Solutions Ltd, which focused on internet based software development, and dynamic website development.
