HooHaa: Overview
HooHaa is a permission based, interruptive advertising model where consumers register online providing their demographic, geographic, behavioural and attitudinal profile.

By registering with HooHaa, the consumer has agreed to receive advertising tailored to their specific interests, activities and buying habits. As an added incentive, the consumer receives a 10 cent credit for each HooHaa (advertising text) they receive.

Advertisers now have direct access to a receptive audience they can communicate their product or service to. Our advertising model allows advertisers to talk directly to thousands of consumers, who we’ve already identified, have an interest in their product or service. Saving time, money and the environment.

Our model has been referred to as a “sniper” approach, verses mainstream advertisers “shotgun” approach.

IMI (INTRACTIVE MOBILE INFORMATION)
The key to our success is the information and profiling we compile about each member of our services. This is what we call Interactive Mobile Information (IMI). Every product developed by Comtxt adds more profiling information about our members which allows us to deliver a rich, interactive and engaging set of services to members.

We are currently developing a number of new exciting products that will continue to build on our Interactive Mobile Information model. These include Text Alerts for TV programs, List Management and Interactive Response Requests. We have already developed the ability to send Multimedia messages and are also working on sending barcodes via mobile phones / hand held devices.

SMS (Short Message Service)
A standard HooHaa SMS (Short Message Service) message allows 140 characters for the advertiser to utilise for their marketing communication. This can be used to drive members to a website, offer a special discount, or just to provide them with information (like an upcoming TV show).

RMS (RICH MEDIA SERVICE)
The Rich Media service is a process which allows the advertiser to interact with HooHaa members in a way like never before. Not only is the advertiser able to deliver rich media, like Videos, Pictures and Audio to HooHaa members, but they can also get them to interact with the advertiser by completing competition entry forms, surveys and more.

An SMS message is sent to our members, with some catch text to entice them. The SMS also contains a URL that members can follow using their mobile phone.
This link will take them to the HooHaa mWeb portal that will display the advertiser’s campaign page, with all the information they require members to see, including text, graphics, and links to downloadable media. This service is absolutely free for our members.

OTHER SERVICES
We have a number of exciting new initiatives we’re currently exploring, including Bar-coding, Tagverts, Alerts and the exciting area of Geo-Location which will allow advertisers to communicate with their target market as they are walking past their retail outlets.

Other services we currently offer are:

  • Text Personalisation
    Utilise a members name to personalise a message “Hi John….”
  • Database Profiling
    24 hr online access to existing database to send text and email campaigns
  • Reply and Email Campaigns
    Prompt members to respond to campaigns via text to unique short code and receive email and text information
  • Triggered Messages
    Send a pre determined text message to new members after registration
  • Competitions
    Responding to promotions where customers are able to participate in in-store, online or text based competition

Ultimately customer satisfaction with HooHaa is driven by the value of the messages/offers members receive, as well as the phone credits they earn. All activity is geared to maximising these measures – including all the open-ended communication channels outlined above, and ensuring the database and messages are as targeted as possible. Frequently messages are withheld or amended to maximise the appeal to HooHaa’s members and likely success for its advertising clients.
